2022 Captain Returns For 2023 Title Defense
The Albany Empire bring back 2022 Captain Dwayne Hollis for 2023 Championship Defense
Albany, NY: The Albany Empire announced today that the team has re-signed 2022 team captain and Defensive Back/Wide Receiver, Dwayne Hollis, for the 2023 National Arena League season. Hollis was a new face in Albany last season after spending time with the New Jersey Flight in 2021. Hollis’s versatility and athleticism made it an easy transition for him into the Ironman game. Quickly Hollis established himself as one of the best coverage corners in the NAL in addition to his ability to make plays on offense.
Hollis had an impressive 2022 season, after winning two Ironman player of the week awards. Hollis was amongst the league leaders on both sides of the ball. Offensively, Hollis brought in forty-four (44) receptions for five hundred and three yards (503) and six (6) touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball, Hollis accounted for thirty-four (34) tackles, one (1) forced fumble, five (5) interceptions and twenty-five (25) pass break ups.
