Former Columbus Wide Receiver Joins The Empire Air Force
ALBANY NY- The Albany Empire announces the signing of Wide Receiver Antwane Grant for their 2022 season.
Grant (6’1 195 Western Kentucky University) the former Cincinnati Bengal and Saskatchewan Roughrider is ready to continue his football career in Albany.
He played football at Nassau Community College before transferring in 2014. Grant finished his two-year college career at WKU with 96 receptions for 1,210 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also ran the ball three times for 65 yards and one score.
Grant played from 2017 to 2019 during his career with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Atlantic City Blackjacks. Grant caught 79 passes for 1,066 yards and 15 receiving touchdowns in his career. He was the top receiver in 2019 leading him to be named co-winner of the Arena Football League’s final Rookie-of-the-Year award.
Coach Tom Menas stated “Antwane Grant has proven himself to be a big-time playmaker and force to be reckoned with in the NAL. We are fortunate to have him as a player as well as someone we are proud to represent us in the community.”
