NAL Announces Prince as Offensive Player of the Year

The National Arena League has officially announced Albany Empire wide receiver, Darius Prince, as the Offensive Player of the Year. Prince joined us from the Philadelphia Soul where he won a championship and was the recipient of the ArenaBowl MVP award in 2017. Obviously, Prince has always strived for greatness, and it was evident this past season here with the Empire where his grit and determination helped lead the team to their first NAL Arena Championship. Head Coach Tom Menas went as far as to say that Prince “dominated the entire league with his talent”.

Prince proved that statement to be true as the #1 receiver for receptions, total yards, yards per game, yards per catch, and touchdowns. Totaling 978 yards in just 9 games played on a 50-yard field is no small accomplishment. The stats speak for themselves and are partially what earned Prince the Offensive Player of the Year award. But there is more to #6 than just his ability to make game-winning catches in the end zone.

Owner Mike Kwarta stated, “Prince is one of the best to ever play in this league and his leadership skills parallel the technical skills he demonstrates on the field”. It is safe to say that Prince is loved by all and there is nobody more deserving of this award.
